Saqib Mahmood proved to be a game-changer with his three quick wickets as Oval Invincibles beat Southern Brave by 17 runs in The Hundred Men’s final at Lord’s in London on Sunday, August 18. Mahmood finished with his season-best figures of 3/17, including the prized scalp of Kieron Pollard for a four-ball duck. The other two batters were the well-set Leus de Plooy and Laurie Evans.

Mahmood cleaned up Du Plooy off the 72nd delivery before removing the danger man Pollard via LBW. The pacer dealt another blow to the Brave by dismissing Evans, who played the ball straight to Dawid Malan at cover. The three timely left the Brave in a spot of bother at 100/6 after 78 deliveries while chasing 148.
