Tamil Nadu cricketer Sai Sudharsan has displayed exceptional form as he notched his maiden first-class double hundred. The 23-year-old accomplished this feat on Day 1 of the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy match against Delhi on Friday, October 18, at Arun Jaitley Stadium in the capital.

The hosts won the toss and elected to have Tamil Nadu bat first. Sai Sudharsan, along with captain N Jagadeesan, forged a strong partnership of 168 runs for the opening wicket. Jagadeesan scored 65 runs off 101 balls before being dismissed by Navdeep Saini.

He carried his momentum into the second match of the series, where he scored a resilient 62 off 83 balls. Overall, in three games, the left-handed batter totaled 127 runs, including two fifties.

Earlier this year, he also made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe in July, but he did not get a chance to bat as the Men in Blue won the match by 100 runs.
