Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant was spotted at the JSW Center to meet his IPL team's co-owner Parth Jindal ahead of the IPL 2025 retention announcement.

Pant has been the marquee player of the Delhi Capitals for a long time. In 2021, the Capitals appointed the wicketkeeper batter as their skipper. He led the team to the top position in the standings in his first season as captain. However, after that tournament, Pant has not been able to lead the Capitals to the playoffs.

Coach Ricky Ponting, who had a great equation with Rishabh Pant, has left the franchise. There have also been rumors of Pant leaving DC for Chennai Super Kings. However, Pant still seems to be in contact with the the Capitals' management as he was at the JSW Center yesterday.

Viral Bhayani shared a reel on his Instagram profile, showing Pant's arrival at the JSW Center in BKC. In the caption, the popular Instagram user mentioned that Pant had come to meet Parth Jindal.

Which players should Delhi Capitals retain along with Rishabh Pant?

Unless there is a major fallout between the Delhi Capitals owners and Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper batter should continue as the captain in IPL 2025. The wicketkeeper made a fantastic comeback to the field in IPL 2024 and after that, he won the 2024 T20 World Cup with Team India.

Pant is one of the biggest match-winners in Indian cricket right now. Also, he has proven himself as a top-quality captain. If the BCCI allows three retentions for each franchise, DC should think of retaining Pant along with all-rounder Axar Patel and spinner Kuldeep Yadav.

Pant, Patel, and Yadav were members of India's 2024 T20 World Cup-winning squad. The team owners and new coach can then form the rest of the squad around this trio.
