All-rounder Ramandeep Singh pulled off a stunning catch in the ACC Men’s T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup 2024 game between India A and Pakistan A. The Al Amerat Cricket Ground hosted the contest between the arch-rivals on Saturday, October 19.

Chasing 184, Pakistan A were off to a bad start as they lost Mohammad Haris (6) and Omair Yousuf (2) early. However, the pair of Qasim Akram (27) and Yasir Khan were building a steady partnership, accumulating consistent boundaries.

However, the ninth over witnessed Nishant Sindhu bowling a half-tracker to Yasir. The right-handed made a sweet connection with the ball to send it towards the deep mid-wicket region.

Ramandeep, who was stationed near the fences, ran towards his right and lunged forward to take a spectacular one-handed catch to stun the onlookers with his effort. The entire team went in jubilation and gave Ramandeep a pat on the back for his crucial catch. Yasir made his way back for 33 off 22 balls.

Check out the dismissal below:

Despite Ramandeep Singh's catch, Pakistan were still in the hunt with Arafat Minhas (41) and Abdul Samad (25). However, although Abbas Afridi (18* off 9) tried well in the end, the Men in Green fell seven runs short of the target.

Anshul Kamboj was the wrecker-in-chief for India with three scalps, followed by Rasikh Dar Salam and Sindhu with two scalps apiece.

Captain Tilak Varma top-scored for Men in Blue in IND-A vs PAK-A game

Indian skipper Tilak Varma won the toss and chose to bat first. The pair of Abhishek Sharma (35) and Prabhsimran Singh (36) provided a terrific start to India.

Varma came at No. 3 and top-scored for the Indian team with a knock of 44 off 35. Nehal Wadhera (25) and Ramandeep Singh (17) were other key contributors, as India A posted a strong total of 183. Sufiyan Muqeem was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan with two wickets.

India A will clash with the United Arab Emirates in their next league match on Monday (October 21) at the same venue.
