Arshdeep Singh picked up the first wicket for Team India by dismissing Parvez Hossain Emon in the second T20I against Bangladesh. The match is being played at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi.

Arshdeep opened the bowling for Team India in their pursuit of defending a 222-run target. He bowled to Emon on strike, who struck him for a boundary off the very first delivery. Emon continued the onslaught, smashing Arshdeep for back-to-back boundaries to end the over.

In his second over and the third of the innings, the Punjab Kings pacer beat him on the first couple of deliveries before Emon chopped one back onto his stumps. The Bangladeshi opener perished after scoring 16 runs off 12 balls.

Bangladesh won the toss and asked the hosts to bat first. After being reduced to 41/3 in 5.3 overs, India were rescued by Nitish Kumar Reddy (74 off 34) and Rinku Singh (53 off 29), who stitched together a 108-run partnership. Hardik Pandya (32 off 19) and Riyan Parag (15 off 6) added the finishing touches as Team India finished on 221/9 in 20 overs.

The visitors got off to a good start, but things started to go downhill for them as they lost wickets in heaps. Parvez Hossain Emon was the only batter to fall to a pacer with Najmul Hossain Shanto (11 off 7), Towhid Hridoy (2 off 6) and Liton Das (14 off 11) being dismissed by the slower bowlers.

At the time of writing, Bangladesh need 152 more runs to win and level the three-match T20I series. India have a 1-0 series lead after winning the first T20I by seven wickets.
