Nitish Reddy pulled off a stunning diving catch to dismiss Mayank Agarwal in the Duleep Trophy on Day 4 (Sunday, September 8). That came during the ongoing clash between India A and India B at M Chinnswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Yash Dayal bowled short of a length ball on off during the second over of India A’s chase and Mayank failed to find the gap between the second and third slips. The right-handed batter ended up poking at the ball before Nitish dived to his right to complete a diving catch.

Sharing the video on X, the BCCI wrote:

“WHAT. A. CATCH! Nitish Kumar Reddy pulls off a splendid diving catch at 2nd slip to dismiss Mayank Agarwal.”

Mayank departed for just three runs off four deliveries as India A lost their opening wicket for just seven runs.


India B set a 275-run target for India A in Duleep Trophy clash

Fighting knocks from Rishabh Pant and Sarfaraz Khan helped India B set a 275-run target against India A in the Duleep Trophy clash. Pant scored 61 runs off 47 balls, while Sarfaraz Khan chipped in with 46 off 36 deliveries as India B managed 184 runs in the second innings.

Akash Deep starred with the ball for India A, picking up a fifer, while Khaleel Ahmed bagged three wickets.

Chasing 275, India A were 132/6 at Tea on Day 4, with KL Rahul (50 off 101) and Kuldeep Yadav (6 off 30) at the crease. Yash Dayal has been the pick of the bowlers, picking up three wickets so far.

Batting first, India B put up 321 in their first innings. Musheer Khan top-scored with 181 off 373, comprising five sixes and 16 boundaries. Meanwhile, Navdeep Saini and Yashasvi Jaiswal chipped in with 56 (144) and 30 (59), respectively.

Akash Deep emerged as the leading wicket-taker for India A, picking up four wickets, while Khaleel Ahmed and Avesh Khan scalped two apiece.

In reply, India A were bundled out for 231 in their first innings. KL Rahul, Riyan Parag, Mayank Agarwal, and Tanush Kotian chipped in with their 30s.

Mukesh Kumar and Navdeep Saini bagged three wickets apiece for India A, while Sai Kishore picked up two wickets.
