Team India all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy and batter Rinku Singh smashed three sixes in the second over of the spell bowled by Bangladesh's Rishad Hossain. The second of the three T20Is of the series is being hosted by Arun Jaitley Stadium, Delhi (October 9).

The said sixes came in the 10th over of India's batting innings. Rishad Hossain geared up to bowl the over and was greeted by Rinku Singh with a boundary. Rinku turned the strike over to Nitish Kumar Reddy, who took full toll of the bowling on offer. He smashed back-to-back maximums, getting to his first half-century in the process. Post that, Nitish took a single off the penultimate delivery of the over, with Rinku capping it off with a maximum.

Electing to bowl first, Bangladesh had hosts India in dire straits by picking up three early wickets early. Sanju Samson (10 off 7) and Abhishek Sharma (15 off 11) departed cheaply. Skipper Suryakumar Yadav (8 off 10) soon followed them back into the dressing room, with Team India reeling at 45/3 at the end of six overs.

Post that, Nitish Kumar Reddy (74 off 34) and Rinku Singh took the mantle of scoring runs and added them at a pair of knots. The two stitched together a partnership worth 108 runs. At the moment, Hardik Pandya and Rinku Singh are in the middle.

India has a 1-0 series lead after winning the first of the three matches in the series. The hosts have a record of beating Bangladesh on 14 out of 15 occasions, with the solitary loss against them coming at the same venue.
