Indian all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer is making the most of his time off from cricket as he recently went on a holiday to Turkey. During his vacation, he wowed fans by striking Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan's iconic pose at a picturesque location in Cappadocia.

Venkatesh shared a video on his official Instagram handle on Thursday, July 18, where he can be seen copying Shah Rukh's open arms pose. He captioned the post:

"Never too late for this trend … @iamsrk."

It is worth mentioning that Venkatesh Iyer plies his trade for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), a franchise co-owned by Shah Rukh Khan, in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The 29-year-old made his IPL debut with the Kolkata-based team in 2021 and has played three seasons for them.

The southpaw was among the standout performers with the bat for KKR in their title-winning campaign earlier this year. He chalked up 370 runs across 13 innings at an average of 46.25 and a strike rate of 158.79.

"An elder brother figure for us" - Venkatesh Iyer on KKR players receiving unwavering support from Shah Rukh Khan

KKR enjoyed an imperious run at IPL 2024. The Shreyas Iyer-led side finished as the table-toppers of the league stage, claiming 20 points from their 14 outings.

Kolkata trumped Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets in Qualifier 1 to advance into the final. KKR trumped SRH yet again, securing another comprehensive eight-wicket victory in the summit clash to clinch their third IPL trophy.

After KKR's Qualifier 1 win, Venkatesh Iyer spoke about how Shah Rukh Khan is like an elder brother to the Kolkata players. He mentioned that the co-owner motivated the team with a pep talk ahead of the crucial fixture.

He said:

"I think it speaks volumes of the man that he is. We have seen him in the big screen, mesmerizing people with his aura. But to not just be an owner of a franchise, but to be an elder brother figure for us, he guides us constantly. I think his pep talk not only lifted me, but for someone like Nitish Rana, who was dealing with an injury and to perform is a really big task. I think you will not be able to hear me now because he is here, but he is a great great franchise owner."

Venkatesh Iyer played a blistering knock in the IPL 2024 final. The left-handed batter remained unbeaten on 52 runs off just 26 balls, helping KKR chase down the 114-run target in just 10.3 overs.
