Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto erred with his reverse sweep and lost his wicket to India's Ravi Bishnoi in the third and final T20I of the series on Saturday, October 12, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

After leading the side on the field and carrying out the bowling changes, Najmul Hossain Shanto was out in the middle on the second ball of the innings. He played a few strokes, played a four and six and looked on song.

With Ravi Bishnoi being introduced into the attack in the last over of the powerplay, Shanto looked to play a reverse sweep on the second ball of the over but got a top edge. Sanju Samson, the centurion from the first innings, completed a running catch to send the Bangladesh skipper back to the dug out.

Take a look at his dismissal below:

After hitting a boundary and maximum, Shanto was dismissed for 14 off 11. A poor white ball tour saw the Bangladeshi skipper scoring 52 runs across three matches.

Chasing a mammoth score of 298 for a consolation win, Bangladesh had a poor start, as they lost Parvez Hossain Emon for a first ball duck. Tanzid Hasan Tamim (15 off 12) was also dismissed cheaply, while skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto lost his wicket cheaply, messing up a reverse sweep.

Litton Das (42 off 25) and Towhid Hridoy stitched together a 53-run partnership for the fourth wicket before Das was dismissed. Mahmudullah, playing his last T20I, walked out to the middle joined by Hridoy, with Bangladesh on 126-4 after 14 overs.

Earlier in the day, India won the toss and elected to bat first, piling on the misery on the visitors by notching up 297-6, the second highest T20I total. Team India eventually won the game by 133 runs to complete a 3-0 clean sweep.
