Matthew Short smashed a massive six off Matthew Potts in the fifth and final ODI between England and Australia at County Ground in Bristol on Sunday, September 29. The Aussie opener deposited the ball in someone’s yard, former Australia captain Ricky Ponting joked on commentary.

The monstrous six came in the fifth over of Australia’s run chase. Potts bowled a delivery outside off and Short got settled underneath the ball to deposit it over deep mid-wicket for a gigantic six out of the ground.

Sharing the video on X, Sky Sports’s official handle quoted Ricky Ponting:

“It’s landed in someone’s backyard!”
