Former Team India all-rounder Irfan Pathan was seen interacting with ex-Pakistani batter Younis Khan's son following the World Championship of Legends (WCL) final between India Champions and Pakistan Champions on Saturday, July 13. India Champions clinched the title with a five-wicket win over their arch-rivals in the summit clash at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

After the final, both Irfan and Younis met each other's families on the ground. Pakistani journalist Ihtisham Ul Haq shared the video of the incident on X (formerly Twitter), which has since gone viral on social media.

Pakistan Champions won the toss and chose to bat first in the WCL 2024 final. They registered 156/6 after 20 overs, with Shoaib Malik being the top performer with a 41-run knock. Anureet Singh claimed three wickets for India Champions, while Irfan Pathan, Pawan Negi, and Vinay Kumar picked up one wicket each.

India Champions chased down the target in 19.1 overs with five wickets in hand. Opener Ambati Rayudu scored 50 runs, while Gurkeerat Singh Mann and Yusuf Pathan contributed 34 and 30 runs, respectively.


Irfan Pathan got the better of Younis Khan in the WCL 2024 final with a stunning inswinger

Irfan Pathan turned back the clock in the WCL 2024 final, cleaning up Pakistan Champions captain Younis Khan with his vintage inswinger. Younis scored just seven runs off 11 balls before perishing in the 12th over.

Younis looked to play an on drive off a length ball from Irfan. However, he was undone by the inward movement. The ball went through the gap between bat and pad and ended up crashing onto the stumps.

Irfan was pumped up with the dismissal and celebrated aggressively. You can watch the video of the delivery below:

Irfan Pathan bagged two wickets from five innings at an economy rate of 9.37 at the recently concluded WCL 2024. With the bat, he scored 154 runs across seven outings at an impressive strike rate of 167.39.
