Team India all-rounder Irfan Pathan came up with a heartwarming gesture for a differently-abled Pakistan cricket fan following the World Championship of Legends 2024 final at Edgbaston, Birmingham on Saturday (June 13). In a video that has surfaced on social media, the 39-year-old can be seen giving the young fan a cap and signed it as well.

The cricketer-turned-commentator also spoke to him and revealed how he brought a cap as promised earlier. With fans sitting in close quarters, they were heard speaking about the 2025 Champions Trophy and how they dearly want India to come.

In one of the earlier videos, the southpaw was also seen consoling Pakistan skipper Younis Khan's son, telling him how wins and losses are part of the game.

Meanwhile, the left-arm swing bowler sent down three overs and conceded 12 runs, but the highlight of the same was taking the wicket of Younis Khan for seven by deceiving him to hit the stumps. The likes of Kamran Akmal, Sohaib Maqsood and Shoaib Malik got promising starts, but couldn't make a big score. Malik top-scored with 41 off 36 balls to lift their side to 156/6 in 20 overs.

India Champions, led by Yuvraj Singh, made a brisk start and stayed ahead of the required late despite losing Robin Uthappa and Suresh Raina cheaply. Ambati Rayudu stepped up by scoring 50 off 30 deliveries, while there were brief but substantial contributions from the middle-order batters as India Champions romped home with five balls and as many wickets to spare.

The left-hander also hit the winning runs in the form of a boundary. He was also critical in their massive 86-run victory over Australia in the semi-final. Pathan struck 50 off 19 deliveries to propel their side to 254 in 50 overs and took a wicket in his two overs.
