Team India head coach Gautam Gambhir had an interesting reaction after Bangladesh pacer Khaled Ahmed missed a simple run-out chance of Virat Kohli. It happened on Day 4 of the second Test at Green Park in Kanpur on Monday, September 30.

The moment transpired at the start of the 19th over when Kohli and Rishabh Pant tried to sneak a quick single. Pant initially responded positively but later backed out, leaving Virat stranded in the middle of the pitch. Bowler Khaled Ahmed had enough time after picking up the ball to hit the stumps as Kohli was far away.

However, the Bangladesh player failed to do the job and gave the batter a life when he scored only two runs. He went on to make 47 runs off 35 balls. After the nervous moment, Rohit Sharma and Gautam Gambhir had contrasting reactions in the dressing room. Initially, Rohit was worried and then relieved while Gambhir sipped his drink peacefully next to the captain.

Rohit Sharma declared the innings in the final stages of the day with a lead of 52 runs. Bangladesh then scored 26/2 in 11 overs before the stumps on Day 4.

"To show that intent with the bat was awesome"- Indian bowling coach Morne Morkel after Day 4 of 2nd India vs Bangladesh Test

India bowling coach Morne Morkel has revealed that the message from the team management was to go for a win even though only two days were left in the Test. At the press conference after stumps on Day 4, he said:

"That was our message this morning [to go for a win]. With losing two days of the Test, how we start this morning... To show that positive intent was going to be key. Two days left in the Test match, extended sessions, there's still a lot of cricket, lot of time left in the game."

He continued:

"The ways the boys went with the ball upfront was incredible to see. To show that intent with the bat was awesome. I don't think as a bowling unit, they expected that to happen. But, it was always part of our game plan."
