“We turned it around nicely tonight” - Faf du Plessis reflects as the St Lucia Kings bounce back after two straight defeats

During the post-match presentation, St Lucia Kings captain Faf du Plessis praised his team for their fighting spirit. He expressed his satisfaction with their fielding and was pleased to have given a strong start to the team. He said (via Cricbuzz):

“Great fighting performance from our guys. 174 was probably 20 runs short on this wicket. Some great catches, they've been catching well, not the easiest ground to catch. It makes a big difference. Really important to start well and put pressure on the bowlers especially in a chase. You can break the back of the opposition.”
“Tried to hit 60+ in the powerplay and important that one guy bats through, Charles did that really well. We turned it around really nicely tonight after two back-to-back losses. Nice to give the crowd something to smile about as well," he added.

The St Lucia Kings will face the Antigua and Barbuda Falcons in Match 17 on Sunday, September 15.
