Bulawayo Brave Jaguars captain David Warner was dismissed by Zimbabwe pacer Tinashe Muchawaya for the second time in two days during match number 17 of the ongoing 2024 Zim Afro T10 on Thursday, September 26, at the Harare Sports Club. The southpaw had to return to the pavilion on the fifth delivery of the third over bowled by Muchawaya after being caught by Joburg Bangla Tigers skipper Sikander Raza.

He managed to score just seven runs off six balls which included a boundary during his side's chase. Warner was cleaned up by a ripper from the 27-year-old on Wednesday evening as well in Harare when the two sides met in match number 15.

Joburg Bangla Tigers qualify for the 2024 Zim Afro T10 playoffs

Following the four-wicket victory against the Bulawayo Brave Jaguars on Wednesday, the Joburg Bangla Tigers once again encountered the David Warner-led side on Thursday. Bangla Tigers captain Sikandar Raza won the toss and opted to bat first. Powered by the captain's unbeaten half-century and Hazratullah Zazai's unbeaten 29-ball 49-run knock, Joburg finished their innings at 128-2 in 10 overs.

Chasing 129 runs for their second win of this edition of the Zim Afro T10, the Brave Jaguars failed to get going and lost wickets at regular intervals. Eventually, they ended up at 91-9 in their 10 overs thereby losing the contest by 37 runs. Slow left-arm orthodox bowler George Linde was the pick of the bowlers for the Bangla Tigers with 3/9.

With four wins out of the six matches they have played so far, Sikandar Raza's men have already qualified for the 2024 Zim Afro T10 playoffs. They are currently placed second in the six-team points table with eight points, two behind leaders Harare Bolts.

Next up, the table toppers will host Joburg in the final league fixture on Friday, September 27, before the playoffs begin on Saturday, September 28. The Bulawayo Brave Jaguars, meanwhile, are out of reckoning for this season's playoffs.
