The right-handed batter returned with scores of 32, 9, 15, duck, 17 and duck in his six innings so far. With another failure in the Duleep Trophy, he is unlikely to get any more chances in the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh.

The series will kick start in Chennai from September 19 onwards.
