Sri Lankan pacer Asitha Fernando dismissed Team India skipper Suryakumar Yadav in the third T20I of the ongoing three-match series between the two Asian sides at Pallekele on Tuesday, July 30. Suryakumar failed to continue his impressive form, perishing after scoring just eight runs off nine balls.

Suryakumar lost his wicket in the sixth over of the Indian innings. The swashbuckling batter attempted to play his signature sweep shot off Fernando's bowling.

While he got a decent connection, he ended up hitting it straight to Wanindu Hasaranga at the boundary, who was placed perfectly for the particular shot. Fernando was pumped up after the wicket and did the crotch chop move of WWE's (World Wrestling Entertainment) D-Generation X.

The ongoing third T20I between India and Sri Lanka is a dead rubber. India have already clinched the series by taking an unassailable 2-0 lead. Suryakumar Yadav finished as India's leading run-getter of the series, chalking up 92 runs across three innings at a strike rate of 195.74.

Suryakumar notched up a fine half-century in the series opener, scoring 58 runs off just 26 deliveries. He followed it up with a quick-fire 26-run knock off 12 balls in the subsequent fixture.

Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to field first. India got off to a dismal start, losing Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, Rinku Singh, and Suryakumar Yadav in the powerplay.

Shubman Gill held one end up amid the fall of wickets, scoring 39 runs from 37 balls. The visiting team's top-order batters failed to make a significant impact and cameos from Riyan Parag and Washington Sundar helped them reach a respectable score.

Parag scored 26 runs, while Sundar finished with 25 runs. India ultimately registered 137/9 in 20 overs. Maheesh Theekshana was the pick of the Sri Lankan bowlers, recording impressive figures of 4-0-28-3.
