Team India pacer Arshdeep Singh picked up two wickets in the first two overs of his spell in the ongoing T20I against Bangladesh. The opening game of the three-match series is being played at the Shrimant Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior.

Team India skipper Suryakumar Yadav won the toss and decided to bowl first. Arshdeep was handed the responsibility of bowling the first over. The left-arm pacer was hit for a boundary by Litton Das but managed to bounce back and had the Bangladeshi opener caught at cover off the very next delivery.

Arshdeep then ran in to bowl the third over and struck on the first delivery, dismissing Parvez Hossain Emon. He got rid of both openers with the score reading 16/2 at the end of the third over while his figures were 2/8 at the end of his second over.

Mayank Yadav and Nitish Kumar Reddy made their Team India debuts in the first T20I against Bangladesh. After winning the toss, Suryakumar Yadav said:

"We will bowl first. Looks a little humid and I don't think there will be any change in the wicket. It's always a great feeling coming back home and playing in these conditions."
"Absolutely there are lot of talent involved in the group, the energy is great and the guys are keen to learn. Looks really beautiful and the crowd looks lovely. I am really excited to play here. The pitch looks great. It's a good headache to have. The guys who are doing well and the guys who have come up we had to give them chances. Tilak Varma, Ravi Bishnoi, Harshit Rana, and Jitesh Sharma miss out," he added.

Mayank bowled a maiden in the first over of his international career. He also dismissed Mahmudullah Riyad to pick up his first wicket.

Nitish has also bowled but failed to get any success, conceding 17 runs in his first two overs.
