Team India all-rounder Axar Patel confirmed his wife Meha's pregnancy with an endearing video on his official Instagram handle on Monday, October 7. The clip features some heartwarming moments of the couple.

Axar tied the knot with Meha, a nutritionist and dietician, in a grand ceremony in Vadodara in January 2023. The cricketer was part of the Indian team for the two-match Test series against Bangladesh at home recently but did not feature in the playing XI in any of the matches. The 30-year-old has been rested for the ongoing T20I series against Bangladesh.

On Monday night, Axar took to his official Instagram handle and shared a heartfelt video to confirm that he will be a father soon. The Team India and Delhi Capitals all-rounder shared the clip with the caption:

"A great joy is coming ❤️ 👶🏻 🧿."

Incidentally, during his recent appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, the cricketer hinted, albeit in a lighthearted tone, that some good news might be on the way pretty soon.

Axar Patel was an unsung hero of Team India's 2024 T20 World Cup triumph

The likes of skipper Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, and Hardik Pandya walked away with plenty of plaudits for their performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Axar, on the other hand, emerged as an unsung hero, making crucial contributions with both bat and ball.

The versatile cricketer contributed 20 off 18 balls in the mega clash against Pakistan in New York after being promoted to No. 4 following the loss of early wickets. The left-hander was promoted in the final against South Africa as well and this time hammered 47 off 31 to help India recover from a precarious 34-3.

With the ball, the left-arm spinner went wicketless in only one match, against Bangladesh in North Sound. He was the Player of the Match for registering superb figures of 3-23 against England in the semifinal in Guyana. The Gujarat cricketer also pulled off a stunning one-handed catch to dismiss Mitchell Marsh in the Super 8 clash against Australia in Gros Islet.
