Wasim Akram praised the young boy who had been emulating Jasprit Bumrah's bowling action

Former legendary Pakistan speedster Wasim Akram was delighted to see the viral video of a young boy playing cricket in Pakistan and copying the bowling action of star Indian speedster Jasprit Bumrah. Akram also expressed how the video made his day.

In the video, the boy is seen having a similar release and run-up as that of Bumrah and Akram shed light on how good the control was from the youngster. He also mentioned the hashtag 'cricket have no boundaries', suggesting how Bumrah had managed to inspire a generation of youngsters in Pakistan too.

Jasprit Bumrah recently had a massive influence on India's T20 World Cup triumph through his sensational bowling performances. In eight matches, Bumrah picked up 15 wickets at an economy rate of just 4.17.

He also made a telling difference in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa, conceding just 18 runs in his four overs with two massive wickets of Reeza Hendricks and Marcon Jansen.


Wasim Akram had already hailed Jasprit Bumrah as a 'complete bowler'

Speaking on A Sports during the 2023 World Cup, Wasim Akram had already stated that Jasprit Bumrah was the complete fast bowler. He felt that Bumrah could deliver across any conditions through any phase of the game.

"He (Bumrah) is the best in the world right now. Top of the ladder! The control, the pace, the variations, just a complete bowler. A treat to watch. With the new ball, to get this kind of movement on this kind of pitch ... pace, carry, follow-through... you name it he's a complete bowler," Akram said.

Wasim Akram had also shed light on Jasprit Bumrah's control with the new ball and even stated he didn't have such control in his playing days.
