A total of six matches were contested in the Vitality T20 Blast 2024 on Thursday, June 20, 2024 .

In the South Group, Gloucestershire narrowly triumphed over Glamorgan in the first game by two wickets. Later, Surrey secured a convincing 56-run victory against Middlesex and topped the South Group table with 11 points to their name. While Sussex overcame Kent by 31 runs, Essex claimed an eight-wicket win against Hampshire.

In the North Group, Warwickshire grabbed their fifth triumph against Northamptonshire, winning by 90 runs, and Yorkshire edged out Lancashire by seven runs in the last game of the day.

With two half-centuries in seven games, Jamie Smith (285) now comfortably sits at the peak of the most runs leaderboard. He scored nine runs in the last game. Rishi Patel, who moved to the second position, has scored 281 runs in seven matches at an impressive average of 40.14.

Daniel Hughes ascended from fourth to third rank with 265 runs to his name. Meanwhile, Dean Elgar (265) of Essex jumped to the fourth spot after scoring his third half-century against Hampshire. Similarly, Sam Billings also climbed up from eight to fifth with 262 runs to his name.

MS Pepper went up two positions to claim the sixth spot following a 44-run knock in the last game vs Hampshire.

Matt Taylor occupied the top spot with 16 wickets, after taking a three-wicket haul on Thursday against Glamorgan. Tom Curran also moved from third to second position, claiming 14 wickets in seven matches.

Luke Hollman (14) bagged his career-best five-fer on Thursday and secured the third position in the most wickets leaderboard.

Ben Green dropped from the top to fourth, having picked up 14 wickets in seven matches. Following him with 14 wickets, Tymal Mills of Sussex retained his fifth rank after claiming a wicket in the last game against Kent.

David Payne, Scott Currie, and Pat Brown are ranked in the following three spots with 13 wickets, respectively.

Mason Crane moved up to ninth position after picking up a wicket, while Sean Abbott grabbed a five-fer to claim a spot in the top 10.
