On Friday, June 7, the Vitality T20 Blast 2024 witnessed a total of eight matches in the North Group and the South Group.
In the North Group, table-toppers Lancashire crushed Warwickshire by eight runs and Leicestershire lost to Durham by seven wickets. Derbyshire secured a massive 96-run win over Nottinghamshire while Northamptonshire defeated Worcestershire by six runs.
In the South Group, Kent secured a four-wicket win against Sussex while Gloucestershire bagged a five-wicket triumph over Hampshire. Similarly, Sussex claimed their second win vs Surrey by 36 runs. Essex grabbed a narrow two-wicket win against Glamorgan at Chelmsford.

Jamie Smith continues to top the most runs leaderboard with 211 runs. He has scored two fifties in four games and strikes at above 200. Luke Well took the second spot after scoring a half-century in the previous game. He has 154 runs in four matches at an average of 51.33.
Colin Ingram moved from eighth to the third position, scoring 151 runs in four games and averaging 37.75. Meanwhile, Sam Billings became the second player after Michael Pepper of Essex to score a century in the last game this season. He has 149 runs in three matches at a strike rate of 167.41.
With 142 runs in four games, Glamorgan’s Sam Northeast and Surrey’s Ollie Pope jointly hold the fifth position, averaging 47.33 each.

Mason Crane holds the pole position in the most wickets leaderboard with 10 wickets in his kitty. Similarly, Derbyshire’s Pat Brown picked up a three-wicket haul in the previous match and moved from the third spot to second in the leaderboard with 10 wickets.
Tom Curran picked up three wickets in the last two games and grabbed the third rank with a sum of nine wickets. David Payne, Hasan Ali, and Tymal Mills have claimed eight wickets each. They have impressive averages of 8.75, 11.12, and 12.00, respectively.
