T20 Blast 2024 Most Runs List Updated after Qualifier 3

On Thursday, September 5, Northamptonshire and Somerset met in the third quarter-final of the Vitality T20 Blast 2024 at the County Ground in Northampton. Somerset won the high-scoring clash by 17 runs.

Northamptonshire won the toss and opted to bowl first. Tom Banton top-scored with 75 off 43, including 11 boundaries. Tom Kohler-Cadmore scored 63 off 43 with two fours and five sixes. Sean Dickson’s 33 off 17 and skipper Lewis Gregory’s 20 guided Somerset to a massive 215-run total.

Ben Sanderson, David Willey, and Saif Zaib picked up one wicket each for Northamptonshire.

In reply, Northamptonshire opener George Bartlett was dismissed for a duck while Ricardo Vasconcelos (30) and Willey (57) stitched a 67-run partnership for the second wicket. Justin Broad (29), Saif Zaib (32), and Ashton Agar (28) also made important contributions but fell short by 17 runs.

Gregory secured a three-wicket haul while Jake Ball and Craig Overton took one wicket apiece.

Daniel Hughes (595), Sam Hain (554), and Michael Pepper (535) are still in the top three spots. Meanwhile, Tom Banton (515) climbed up from fifth to fourth and Matthew Breetzke (460) moved to fifth.

Dawid Malan of Yorkshire (420) retained his sixth spot and similarly, Rishi Patel (413) and Sam Billings (411) occupy the next two positions, respectively.

Cameron Bancroft (399) and Miles Hammond (392) from Gloucestershire are ranked ninth and 10th, respectively.

There was no movement seen in the most wickets leaderboard.

Danny Briggs (27) is the highest wicket-taker in Vitality T20 Blast 2024. David Payne (25) and Tymal Mills (24) follow him closely, averaging 14.48 and 17.91, respectively.

Luke Hollman and Matthew Taylor are holding the third and fourth spots, respectively, with 23 wickets each. Meanwhile, Patrick Brown is ranked sixth with 22 wickets while Ben Raine and Ben Green occupy the next two positions with 21 wickets each.

Sam Currie and Jordan Thompson round off the top 10 leaderboard with 20 wickets apiece.
