Vitality T20 Blast 2024 Points Table: Updated standings after Derbyshire vs Warwickshire, Match 58

On Sunday, June 16, a total of six matches were played in North Group and South Group in the Vitality T20 Blast 2024.

Lancashire Lightning continues to lead North Group with 10 points despite a two-run loss against Durham. Warwickshire Bears jumped from fourth to second place after registering their fourth win over Derbyshire.

Leicestershire Foxes moved up from fifth to third position, beating Yorkshire in the previous game. Northamptonshire Steelbacks climbed to fourth with eight points.

Durham follows with seven points, having won three matches out of seven games. Meanwhile, Derbyshire Falcons slipped from third to sixth place with six points.

Yorkshire Vikings, Worcestershire Rapids, and Notts Outlaws are placed in the next three spots with three, two, and one win, respectively.

Somerset topped the South Group table after beating Glamorgan in the last game. Surrey dropped to second with nine points in their account while Sussex retained third position, having four wins and two losses in their name.

Essex and Hampshire are placed in the next two spots with six points each. Gloucestershire moved from eight to sixth position following a nine-wicket victory over Kent.

Glamorgan and Kent occupy seventh and eighth positions, respectively, winning just two games across six matches. Middlesex completes the South Group table with five losses and a win.

Wins for Durham, Northamptonshire, Leicestershire in North; Somerset, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire in South

Durham posted a huge 219-run target for the North Group table-topper, Lancashire, losing three wickets in the process. Graham Clark (87) and David Bedingham (78) scored fifties for Durham. In reply, Durham restricted Lancashire to 216/8 with Callum Parkinson (3) and Paul Coughlin picking up five wickets.

Northamptonshire registered an 11-run victory over Worcestershire. They had set a modest target of 144 thanks to Matthew Breetzke’s 52 and Sikandar Raza’s 43. While defending, Ben Sanderson took a three-wicket haul for Northamptonshire and Raphael Weatherall claimed two wickets.

Somerset clinched a massive 108-run win against Glamorgan. With Will Smeed’s 86 and Craig Overton’s 24-ball 42-run knock, they had posted 193 runs on the board. Later, Somerset bowled Glamorgan out for 85/10.

Leicestershire were limited to 166 runs against Yorkshire with Rishi Patel scoring a 64-run knock. In response, Scott Currie and Lewis Goldsworthy’s three-wicket hauls helped them restrict Yorkshire to 146/9.

Gloucestershire bagged an easy nine-wicket win over Kent. They bundled Kent out to 125 in 19.5 overs and chased the target in 11.4 overs thanks to Miles Hammond’s 80* off 41 and Cameron Bancroft’s 39 off 30.

Similarly, Warwickshire also secured a comfortable seven-wicket victory over Derbyshire. Derbyshire had given a 134-run target which Dan Mousley (66*) and Sam Hain (43) of the Bears achieved with 1.1 overs to spare.
