A total of seven matches took place in the Vitality T20 Blast 2024 on Sunday. Durham took on Northamptonshire in a game of eight overs per side. Durham amassed 90-5. Ashton Turner played a phenomenal knock of 36 off 17.

In reply, Northamptonshire chased down the score in 7.1 overs. Mathew Breetzke (20 off 11) and Ashton Agar (31 off 14) returned match-winning contributions with the bat.

Surrey locked horns with Essex in a South Group clash, winning by 13 runs. Batting first, Surrey posted a formidable score of 189. Will Jacks top-scored with 86 off 46. In reply, Essex managed 176.

Adam Rossington played a sensational knock of 78 off 49 but lacked support from other batters. In another South Group encounter, Gloucestershire took on Glamorgan, winning by a massive 121 runs.

Riding on a stellar knock of 80 off 35 from Jack Taylor, Gloucestershire posted a huge 206-run total. In reply, Glamorgan were folded up for a paltry 85.

Meanwhile, Hampshire faced off Somerset in a South Group clash on Sunday. Tom Prest’s 51 off 32 helped Hampshire reach a reasonable total of 157 in the first innings. But it didn’t prove enough, as Somerset chased it down with ease in 18 overs.

Tom Banton guided the team home with an unbeaten knock of 79 off 52. He received valuable support from Tom Kohler-Cadmore, who also made 43 off 28.

In a North-Group encounter, Leicestershire beat Nottinghamshire victorious by five wickets. Benjamin Martindale (44 off 42) and Joe Clarke (39 off 23) provided a decent start, but once the partnership was broken, wickets fell in quick intervals.

They managed 160-6. Leicestershire chased that down without much fuss, with an over to spare. Lewis Goldsworthy was the standout performer with 67 off 39.

Birmingham Bears picked up a 44-run win over Derbyshire in a North Group encounter at home. Significant contributions from Moeen Ali (59), Dan Mousley (60) and Sam Hain (52) helped the Bears to 198. In reply, Derbyshire were restricted to 154.

In the final game of the day, Worcestershire locked horns with Yorkshire in what turned out to be a high-scoring thriller. Batting first, Worcestershire posted a mammoth total of 205.

Brett D’Oliveira (42 off 28) and Ethan Brookes (44 off 21) were the top performers. In reply, Yorkshire chased down the total in 19.3 overs, courtesy of a sensational unbeaten 93 off 50 from Dawid Malan.

Michael Pepper is atop the Vitality T20 Blast run charts with 515 runs, followed by Sam Hain with 461 runs. Daniel Hughes is third with 451 runs, while Dawid Malan is next with 420 runs.

At number five is Rishi Patel with 406 runs, while Tom Banton is sixth with 404 runs. The seventh and eighth spots belong to Dan Mousley (364) and Mathew Breetzkee (363), respectively.

Miles Hammond is ninth-most Vitality T20 Blast scorer with 362 runs, while Sam Billings rounds off the top-10 with 341 runs.

As far as the wickets tally in the Vitality T20 Blast is concerned, David Payne is atop with 24 wickets. Danny Briggs is second with 22 wickets, while Luke Hollman is third with 21 wickets.

At number four is Matt Taylor with 21 wickets, while Tymal Mills is fifth with 21 wickets. Ben Raine has 18 wickets and is sixth.

The seventh and eighth spots in the Vitality T20 Blast bowling charts are occupied by Scott Currie (18) and Nathan Sowter (17), respectively. Meanwhile, Mason Crane (17) and Pat Brown (17) find themselves at ninth and tenth spots, respectively.
