Meerut Mavericks secured an 18-run win over Noida Super Kings in the 24th match of the UP T20 League 2024 on Friday, September 6. Meanwhile, Lucknow Falcons notched up a nine-wicket win against Kashi Rudras in the 25th game.
In the 24th match, Meerut opted to bat first after winning the toss. Opening batter Swastik Chikara scored 66 runs in 45 balls with eight fours and three sixes to emerge as the top-scorer of the innings.
No. 4 batter Rituraj Sharma smacked 45* runs in 29 balls with two fours and three sixes as Meerut posted a dominating total of 188/5 in 20 overs. Prashant Veer, Piyush Chawla, Nitish Rana, and Bobby Yadav scalped a wicket apiece for Noida.
In reply, Noida Super Kings could score only 170/8 in 20 overs, losing the game by 18 runs. Opener Rahul Rajpal was the top-scorer with 53 runs while Prashant Veer scored 43 runs in 20 balls. Vijay Kumar, Rajat Sanserwal, and Zeeshan Ansari scalped two wickets apiece for Meerut while Yash Garg and Rinku Singh picked up a wicket each.
Moving to the 25th match, Kashi Rudras opted to bat first, scoring a below-par total of 111 runs in 20 overs. Prince Yadav was the top-scorer with 33 runs. Abhinandan Singh and Kishan Singh scalped three wickets apiece for the Falcons.
In response, the Lucknow Falcons finished off the game inside 14 overs with nine wickets in hand. Samarth Singh (55*) and Vipraj Nigam (26*) were the star batters, who took their side over the line in 13.5 overs.
