The Top End T20 Series 2024 continued on Sunday, August 11 with three matches in Darwin. In the first match of the day at the Gardens Oval, Bangladesh A scored 170/6 from 20 overs courtesy of an attacking 49-ball 69 from Parvez Hossain Emon.

Later in the game, Bangladesh A bowlers Ripon Mondol (3/12), Rakibul Hasan (3/21) and Al Islam (2/31) folded up Melbourne Renegades for just 93 to secure a huge 77-run win.

At the Gerry Wood Oval, Northern Territory batted first and charted 171/5. With no half-century in the high-scoring innings, captain J Dickman and opener D'Arcy Short forged handy runs at the top before Lachlan Bangs clubbed a five-ball cameo at the death.

In response, Adelaide Strikers managed just 139/8 to fall 32 runs short of their target. Lachlan Bangs hogged the limelight with the ball for the Northern Territory by claiming match-winning figures of 4/18.

Between Melbourne Stars and Pakistan A, the former made 175/4 from 20 overs. Liam Blackford cracked a dazzling half-century during his 91-run opening partnership with Ashley Chandrasinghe (47 off 42). Sam Elliott (17* off 8) and Arjun Nair (36* off 15) compounded 53 runs together in just 23 balls in the death overs.

Despite featuring an unbeaten 57 from Tayyab Tahir, Pakistan A lost the match by 47 runs. Reiley Mark scythed through Pakistan’s middle-order in a space of just three overs to claim figures of 4/32.

Northern Territory opener D'Arcy Short extended his tally to 121 runs from two innings to top the run-scoring charts of the Top End T20 Series 2024. Melbourne Stars opening batters Liam Blackford and Ashley Chandrasinghe become the second and third most successful batters of the season with 103 and 75 runs, respectively.

Jacob Dickman (71 runs) and Parvez Hossain Emon (69 runs) round up the list of five highest run-makers at number four and five, respectively.

Pakistan A teammates Sahibzada Farhan, Tayyab Tahir and Usman Khan take the subsequent three slots on the batting charts with around 60 runs to their names. Jake Weatherald with 58 runs is ranked ninth and Corey Wasley takes the tenth spot with 54 runs.

Reiley Mark takes the top spot on the Top End T20 Series 2024 bowling charts with seven wickets from two innings. Jordan Buckingham is ranked second on the list with five scalps in the season so far.

Lachlan Bangs, Matthew Spoors and Jahandad Khan are positioned third, fourth and fifth on the table for claiming four wickets from their ends.

Ripon Mondol, Raf MacMillan, Rakibul Hasan, Matt Hennig and Xavier Crone occupy the bottom half of the top 10 table for collecting three wickets each.
