A total of three matches took place in the Top End T20 Series 2024 in Darwin on Thursday (August 15). The likes of Bangladesh A, Perth Scorchers Academy and Pakistan A registered clinical victories.

In the first game, Bangladesh A restricted the Australian Capital Territory to 124/9, with Ripon Mondol emerging as the pick of the bowlers with three scalps. Thereafter, Jishan Alam (50*) top-scored for the side as they sealed the chase under 17 overs.

The second game saw Adelaide Strikers Academy post a modest total of 148 against Perth Scorchers Academy. Harry Manenti (48* off 22) was the key contributor for the Strikers, while Bryce Jackson picked up three wickets for the Scorchers. In response, opener Baxter Holt (79* off 55) was sensational to lead from the front and completed the chase under 19 overs.

In the final game, Melbourne Renegades Academy were all out for 107 against Pakistan A, with Jahandad Khan (3/19) inflicting the most damage. Then, Usman Khan (38) and Omair Yousuf (25) made sure Pakistan A reached the target in 18 overs.

D’Arcy Short retained his top position in the batting charts with 201 runs in five innings at a strike rate of 164.75. Meanwhile, Liam Backford has also done well to garner 186 runs and is at the second position in the list.

Jake Doran (151), Nicholas Davis (143) and Liam Scott (140) take subsequent positions in the table with impressive performances. After scoring 23 today, Parvez Hossain Emon climbed to sixth position and has 139 runs to his name. Baxter Holt (138), Jacob Dickman (136), Teague Wylie (128), and Marcus Harris (126) round off the top 10 batters in the tournament.

Esam Rahman is still the top bowler in the tournament with nine scalps in three games at an economy of 6.08. With his terrific performance today, Jahandad Khan takes the second position with nine wickets at an economy of 7.41.

Reiley Mark, Matt Hennig and Tim Oakley take the third, fourth and fifth places, respectively, with eight wickets apiece. Meanwhile, Austin Anlezark, Ripon Mondol, Lloyd Pope, and Xavier Alexander Crone have done well to accumulate seven wickets each to take subsequent positions. Jake Smith is at the 10th position with six scalps to his name.
