On Saturday, August 10, 2024, the Melbourne Stars and Melbourne Renegades locked horns in the second match of the Top End T20 Series 2024. Pakistan Shaheens and Perth Scorchers went head-to-head in the third game while Adelaide Strikers and Tasmania met in the next.

Melbourne Stars batted first and posted a 150-run target for six thanks to Liam Blackford’s 48 off 47 with eight fours. Xavier Crone took three wickets for the Melbourne Renegades. In reply, Renegades chased down the target in 17.5 overs, with skipper Will Sutherland top-scoring with 33 off 24 followed by Marcus Harris' 29.

In the following game, Pakistan Shaheens beat Perth Scorchers by 17 runs. With Usman Khan’s 57, Sahibzada Farhan’s 36, and Arafat Minhas’ 31, Shaheens had set an 189-run target. In response, despite a half-century from Corey Wasley, the Scorchers fell short.

Adelaide Strikers defeated Tasmania in the next game by 21 runs. With skipper Liam Scott’s 44 and Harry Manenti’s 41 off 26, the Strikers had imposed a target of 159. However, they successfully defended it thanks to Jordan Buckingham’s three-wicket haul backed by two wickets each from Scott, Tim Oakley and Lloyd Pope.

D'Arcy Short of Perth Scorchers is currently at the top of the most runs leaderboard after scoring 84 runs in his first game against Northern Territory.

Usman Khan of Pakistan Shaheens is ranked second with 57 runs. Following closely, Perth Scorchers' Corey Wasley (54) and Matthew Spoors (49) occupy the next two spots.

Melbourne Stars' Liam Blackford is ranked fifth with 48 runs while Sam Fanning of the Scorchers is next to him, scoring 47 runs in two games.

Liam Scott of Adelaide Strikers scored a 44-run knock and secured the seventh spot while Teague Wyllie moved to eighth, having scored 38 in two matches.

Sahibzada Farhan of Pakistan Shaheens is placed ninth after scoring 36 runs in the previous game while Joel Curtis rounds off the top 10 with 35 runs.

Matthew Spoors picked up a three-wicket haul in the last game to secure the first spot in the most wickets list.

Xavier Crone, Raf MacMillan and Reiley Mark are ranked in the next three spots, each with three wickets in one game. Similarly, Jordan Buckingham’s three-wicket haul against Tasmania helped him secure the fifth spot.
