“Today, let’s celebrate you” - Mittali Parulkar shares birthday post for husband Shardul Thakur

Mittali Parulkar, the wife of Indian cricketer Shardul Thakur, took to social media on Wednesday, October 16, to share a video wishing her husband on his 33rd birthday. An entrepreneur and professional baker, Mittali founded her startup, “All The JAZZ - Luxury Bakes,” in February 2020 in Thane, Mumbai.

The duo got engaged in November 2021 and tied the knot two years later on February 27, 2023. On Wednesday, Mittali took to Instagram to share a video celebrating Shardul’s birthday. She captioned the post:

“Today, let's celebrate you 🥂❤️, Happy birthday my 🌍.”

Shardul was last seen in action during the Round 1 match of the 2024-25 Ranji Trophy for Mumbai. Baroda posted 290 runs in their first innings, bolstered by half-centuries from Mitesh Patel (86) and Atit Sheth (66). Shardul took two wickets for Mumbai.

In response, Mumbai were dismissed for 214, with Ayush Mhatre top-scoring at 52. Baroda's captain Krunal Pandya performed well in their second innings, scoring 55 as they were bowled out for 185, setting a target of 262 runs.

The defending champions struggled and were all out for 177, losing by 84 runs. Bhargav Bhatt had a standout performance, claiming 10 wickets in the match, leading Baroda to their first victory over Mumbai in 26 years.


Shardul Thakur has represented India in 83 games across formats

Shardul Thakur made his international debut for India in an ODI against Sri Lanka in August 2017. Since then, the 33-year-old has played 47 ODIs, claiming 65 wickets. The Mumbai cricketer has also represented India in 11 Tests, in which he has taken 31 wickets and scored 331 runs, including four half-centuries.

Additionally, he has played in 25 T20Is, taking 33 wickets. Shardul’s most recent appearance for India was in a Test against South Africa in December 2023 at Centurion, where he took just one wicket as India lost by an innings and 32 runs.
