Dragons chase down Tamizhans’ target in a rain-hit affair

The trend to win the toss and bowl first continued in the 16th match of the tournament as the Dindigul Dragons asked the IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans to bat first. Rain playing spoilsport meant the game was reduced to a 13-over match.

The IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans scored 108/4 in 13 overs, thanks to contributions from Sundararaman Radhakrishnan (36 off 30), Tushar Raheja (32 off 26), and Amith Sathvik (28 off 15). Sathvik scored his runs at a strike rate of 186.67, while Radhakrishnan and Raheja batted at a strike rate of 120 and 123.08, respectively. Subodh Bhati bowled an impressive spell for the Dragons as he snared three wickets, giving away just 14 runs in his three-over spell.

In reply, Baba Indrajith (31* off 25) and Boopathi Kumar (51* off 25) made sure the Dragons cruised to the target with ease and registered a comfortable eight-wicket win over the Tamizhans.
