The Dindigul Dragons trumped the Siechem Madurai Panthers by 30 runs in the 24th match of the 2024 Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) at the NPR College Ground, Dindigul.

One could argue that the game was well and over in the first innings itself when the Dragons put up a score of 201/5 in 20 overs. Shivam Singh put his hand up for the Dragons today with a breath-taking 57-ball 106* to help his team reach a massive score in the first 20 overs. Singh’s innings were laced with six boundaries and ten maximums, toying with the Siechem bowlers indeed.

Karthick Manikanandan took two wickets for the Madurai Panthers, while Gurjapneet Singh, R Mithin, and Murugan Ashwin all took a wicket each.

In the end, the Panthers fell short of 30 runs in spite of batting efforts from opener Suresh Lokeshwar (55 off 37). Sandeep Warrier (2/30) and Ravichandran Ashwin (2/35) helped the Dindigul Dragons restrict the Panthers in their respective four overspells.
