TNPL 2024: How did the IPL players fare in Siechem Madurai Panthers vs IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, Match 10? Ft. R Sai Kishore & Murugan Ashwin

On Saturday, July 13, 2024, Siechem Madurai Panthers and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans met in the 10th Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 match at the Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science Ground, Coimbatore.

Siechem Madurai Panthers put to bat first and posted a modest total of 156 for nine wickets. Hari Niishaanth scored 17 runs in the top order while Jagatheesan Kousik’s 28, Uthirasamy Sasidev’s 41, and Sri Abisek’s 21 were among the major run-contributions. S Ajith Ram chipped in with a three-wicket haul for IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans while Ramalingam Rohit picked up two wickets and the rest took one each.

In reply, Tamizhans lost their openers inside three overs. However, B Anirudh Ram’s 52 off 28 and S Mohamed Ali’s unbeaten 34 backed by Amith Sathvi’s quick-fire 23 off 13 helped them achieve the target in 18.2 overs. Murugan Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers with a four-fer.

Murugan Ashwin (Siechem Madurai Panthers)

Murugan Ashwin, who has represented various IPL teams, including MI, CSK and RCB, had a notable day with the ball. He bagged a four-fer for Siechem Madurai Panthers in his four-over spell while conceding 21 runs and delivering 12 dot balls. However, he failed to contribute with the bat, dismissed for a duck on the first ball.


Swapnil Singh (Siechem Madurai Panthers)

Swapnil Singh, the RCB all-rounder, had a decent day with the bat. He scored 17 off 13 with two maximums. However, he didn’t contribute to the bowling department.


Hari Nishaanth (Siechem Madurai Panthers)

Hari Nishaanth, the Panthers captain and former CSK batter, scored 17 in 18 deliveries. His knock included two fours.


R Sai Kishore (IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans )

R Sai Kishore, the Gujarat Titans all-rounder, currently captains Tamizhans. He scored 16 runs from 14 balls, including one four and one six. He also bowled effectively, conceding 14 runs from three overs and taking one wicket as well.
