TNPL 2024: How did the IPL players fare in Chepauk Super Gillies vs IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans, Match 8? Ft. Vijay Shankar & T Natarajan

On Wednesday, July 10, 2024, Chepauk Super Gillies and IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans met in the sixth Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2024 match at the SCF Cricket Ground in Salem.

Chepauk Super Gillies had given IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans a 157-run target for the loss of six wickets. Pradosh Paul (67* off 46), Narayan Jagadeesan (36 off 26), and Andre Siddarth C (23 off 19) were the major run-getters for Chepauk.

Mohamed Ali of IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans took three wickets, while T Natarajan, P Bhuvaneswaran and M Mathivannan picked up one each.

In response, the Tamizhans had a fine start but later faltered despite S Ganesh's 61 off 35 balls, featuring seven fours and two sixes. Eventually, wickets kept falling regularly, leading to their 15-run loss.

Ganeshan Periyaswamy was the standout bowler for the Chepauk Super Gillies with two wickets, while others supported with one each.

Narayan Jagadeesan (Chepauk Super Gillies)

Narayan Jagadeesan, who has previously represented CSK and KKR, plays for Chepauk Super Gillies in the TNPL 2024. He scored 36 runs from 26 deliveries in the previous game, including two fours and as many sixes. He was also involved in one run-out.


Baba Aparajith (Chepauk Super Gillies)

Baba Aparajith, the Chepauk Super Gillies captain, had a rough outing with the bat in the last game. He scored nine runs from seven balls with one boundary.


Vijay Shankar (IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans)

Vijay Shankar, the GT all-rounder, and Tamizhans’ captain, also underperformed in both the batting as well as bowling departments. He scored only four run-a-ball and conceded 27 runs in three overs without taking a wicket.


T Natarajan (IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans)

T Natarajan, who plays for Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, was quite expensive in the last game. He conceded 37 runs in four overs but managed to pick up a wicket.
