Beth Mooney’s sensational knock helps Manchester Originals get back to winning ways in the Women’s Hundred 2024

After being asked to bat first in the 26th match of the Women’s Hundred 2024, the London Spirit Women got off to a horrible start. Their batters failed to get going and were reeling at 47/7 after 58 balls before Deepti Sharma and Eva Gray started rebuilding the innings.

Deepti and Gray (28) stitched a fantastic partnership of 56 which helped the Spirit Women get past the 100-run mark. Deepti remained unbeaten on 46 to take her side to 120/8. It was a collective effort from the Invincibles with the ball as each of their six bowlers entered the wickets column.

In reply, skipper Lauren Winfield-Hill led the Invincibles Women from the front. She opened the batting and played a brilliant knock. She was well-supported by Marizanne Kapp from the other end as both kept the Spirit Women at bay.
