The iconic Lord’s hosted the 23rd match of the 2024 Women’s Hundred between London Spirit and Manchester Originals.

The home side won the toss and elected to field first against the Manchester-based franchise. Opener Beth Mooney (20 off 17) made some headway at the top for the Originals, while her teammate Emma Lamb (28 off 26) made a meaningful contribution too.

Batting at no. 3, Lamb scored two fours, while Mooney’s innings was laced with four boundaries. Kathryn Brace top scored with a 27-ball 32, while late fireworks by Fi Morris (17 off 13) helped the Manchester Originals put up a score of 112/7 in the first inning.

Charlie Dean (3/20) and Sarah Glenn (2/20) helped the London Spirit restrict Originals for a low total. London Spirit batter Georgia Redmayne’s mature knock of 66* off 59 deliveries ensured that there were no stones unturned as far as chasing the target was concerned.

Redmayne’s knock was complemented well by skipper Heather Knight (29* off 27) to help the Spirit chase their required target with eight wickets and eight deliveries to spare. Lauren Filer and Alice Monaghan took one wicket each for the losing side.
