On August 6, two encounters took place at The Hundred Women's. The Manchester Originals Women faced Oval Invincible Women, while Birmingham Phoenix Women clashed against Northern Superchargers in the 18th match.

Batting contributions from Laura Wolvaardt (38 off 29), Beth Mooney (22 off 20), and skipper Sophie Ecclestone (26* off 15) helped the Originals post a decent first innings total of 125/4 against the Invincibles in the first match of the day.

Amanada-Jade Wellingotn took two, while Mady Villiers and Ryana MacDonald-Gay scalped a wicket each for the Invincibles.

Chasing 126, Invincibles batter Paige Schofield (48* off 27) alongside teammate Chamari Athapaththu (33 off 26) ensured that her side crossed the finish line with ease, handing the Manchester Originals a seven wicket loss in the 18th encounter of the season.

Shifting our focus to the second game of the day between the Phoenix and the Superchargers, the latter posted a total of 115/5 in the first innings as Alice Davidson-Richards (49* off 42) top scored for them while Ellyse Perry (2/13) and Emily Arlott (2/22) ended the first innings as the highest wicket takers for the Phoenix.

The Superchargers bowling lineup proved to be a bit too lethal for the Phoenix as Linsey Smith (3/12), Georgia Wareham (3/12), and Grace Ballinger (2/15) bundled Birmingham out for a mere 54 runs in just 86 deliveries, winning the 19th match of the season by 61 runs.

Nat Sciver-Brunt of the Trent Rockets is atop the most-run list with a total of 188 runs in four innings. Batting at a strike rate of 131.46 and an average of 94, Sciver-Brunt has managed to hit 25 boundaries this season. Laura Wolvaardt is second on the list with 184 runs in five matches.

Danni Wyatt (179), Annabel Sutherland (162), and Paige Scholfield (159) have had a fruitful 2024 Hundred’s campaign as they occupy the third, fourth, and fifth positions, respectively. Ellyse Perry and Alice Capsey see themselves in the sixth and seventh places, having scored 152 and 150 runs so far this season.

Sophia Dunkley, Phoebe Litchfield, and Sarah Bryce round off the top 10 list with 125, 125, and 116 runs to their name, occupying the eighth, ninth, and tenth positions, respectively.

Linsey Smith is atop the 2024 Women’s Hundred highest wicket takers leaderboard, having snared a total of 11 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 6.12.

Annabel Sutherland and Kate Cross have both claimed 10 wickets each after the completion of 19 games this season.Sutherland has managed to take her wickets at a miserly economy rate of 3.49, while Cross has a best bowling figure of 4/20 this campaign. They occupy the second and third places, respectively.

Jess Jonassen, Amanda-Jade Wellington, and Georgia Davis, with eight wickets each, occupy the fourth, fifth, and sixth places, respectively.

Heather Graham, Katie Levick, and Emily Arlott have all scalped seven wickets and see themselves in the seventh, eighth, and ninth places, while Georgia Wareham, with a tally of six wickets, rounds off the top-10 list.
