On Wednesday, August 14, 2024, the Southern Brave and Welsh Fire met at The Rose Bowl, Southampton in the 30th match of The Hundred Men's 2024. Trent Rockets and Oval Invincibles locked horns in the next match at the Trent Bridge, Nottingham.

Welsh Fire batted first and posted a challenging total of 181 runs for five wickets. Luke Wells scored 53 followed by Glenn Phillips (48) and Stevie Eskinazi (28). In response, Southern Brave's captain, James Vince, was unbeaten on 19 off eight balls when rain intervened, resulting in the match being abandoned with no result.

On the other hand, Oval Invincibles opted to bat first and set a modest 151-run target for three wickets. Will Jacks (30) and Dawid Malan stitched a 47-run opening stand and had a fine start. Later, Malan finished with a 53* off 43, while Jordan Cox and Donovan Ferreira added 39 and 27 runs each.

In reply, Trent Rockets achieved the target in 94 balls. Rovman Powell led the charge with a 27-ball 45, while Tom Alsop scored 41* off 24, and Alex Hales added 35 runs.

James Vince (357), Ben Duckett (240), Nicholas Pooran (227), Phil Salt (216), and Tom Banton (211) are still in the top five most runs leaderboard.

Alex Hales (204) moved from seventh to sixth, while Jordan Cox (189) jumped from 10th to seventh spot. Meanwhile, Dawid Malan scored an unbeaten fifty on Wednesday and secured the eighth spot with 182 runs.

Sam Curran (176) and Harry Brook (163) dropped from sixth and eighth positions to ninth and 10th, respectively.

Sam Curran (17) picked up one wicket against Trent Rockets and moved from second to first spot, averaging 9.05. On the other hand, Adam Zampa slipped to second with 17 wickets but a slightly greater average of 11.41.

Chris Jordan and Tim Southee retained his third and fourth spots with 14 and 13 wickets each. Meanwhile, Tymal Mills (13) ascended from sixth to fifth after taking two wickets. Haris Rauf dropped to sixth with 11 wickets.

Rashid Khan and Sean Abbott remain in the next two positions, taking nine wickets each. Sam Cook took two wickets, and Matt Henry picked up one to finish in the top 10.
