Suryakumar Yadav has reached an impressive milestone, becoming the second-fastest Indian to score 2,500 T20I runs in just 71 innings. He achieved this landmark during the third T20I against Bangladesh on Saturday, October 12, at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

Batting at No. 3, the 34-year-old scored 75 runs off 35 balls, hitting eight fours and five sixes, which marked his 21st fifty. This performance also brought his T20I run total to 2,500, making him the second-fastest player to reach this milestone.

The batter trails only former Indian captain Virat Kohli, who achieved the same in 68 innings during a match against the West Indies in Hyderabad in December 2019.

Before this match, the Mumbai cricketer had played 73 games, scoring 2,469 runs at an average of 41.84, with 20 fifties and four centuries to his credit.
