Shpageeza Cricket League 2024: Most Runs and Most Wickets after Boost Defenders vs Mis Ainak Knights (Updated) ft. Bilal Sami & Darwish Rasooli

The Shpageeza Cricket League 2024 saw a total of two games take place in Kabul on Saturday (August 17). Mis Ainak Knights continued their dominance at the top, while Speen Ghar Tigers rebounded well after starting the tournament on a bad note.

In the first game, Amo Sharks were blown away by a terrific bowling performance from the Tigers. Only Mohammad Ishaq (36) could make a substantial contribution, as the Sharks were bundled out for 105. Bilal Sami (3/8) emerged as the pick of the bowlers for the Tigers. In response, Hassan Eisakhel (36) anchored the chase as the Tigers won inside 11 overs with five wickets remaining.

The second match saw Boost Defenders post a formidable 167 against the Knights, with Darwish Rasooli slamming 67 off 30 balls. Abdul Rahman (3/26) was impressive in scalping three wickets. Thereafter, Wafiullah Tarakhil (65* off 39) maintained his stupendous form to help the team finish the game with nine balls and eight wickets to spare.

Sediqullah Atal retained his top position on the list with 191 runs in four innings at an average of 47.75 and a top score of 69. Meanwhile, Wafiullah Tarakhil climbed to the second position with an impressive knock on Saturday and has amassed 167 runs from four appearances.

Gulbadin Naib (120), Ibrahim Zadran (118) and Zubaid Akbari (117) hold the third, fourth and fifth positions, respectively. Naveed Obaid (112), Abdul Malik (110) and Hashmatullah Shahidi (107) are placed neck-to-neck in the subsequent positions.

With hefty contributions on Saturday, Darwish Rasooli (106) and Ikram Alikhil (101) are ninth and 10th, respectively.

Allah Mohammad Ghazanfar is still the top bowler in the tournament with seven scalps in four appearances at an average of 8.71. Meanwhile, Wahidullah Zadran added two to his tally on Saturday to take the second spot with seven wickets as well but at a slightly higher average of 9.28.

Nangeyalia Kharote, Zia-ur-Rehman and Amir Hamza take the next three positions with seven wickets each, again at inferior averages.

Noor Ahmad, Abdul Rahman, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Yama Arab and Aftab Alam have also done well to take six wickets apiece and round off the top bowlers in the tournament.
