The Agri Kings Knights beat the Royal Phantoms by two wickets in the 21st Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup 2024 fixture on Thursday, June 20. In the second game of the day, the BLV Blasters defeated the Trident Stallions by four wickets.

With their fifth win of the tournament, the BLV Blasters moved from third to the first position on the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup 2024 points table. They have ten points with a net run rate of +1.209.

Trident Stallions, following their defeat, slipped from first to second position with ten points and a net run rate of +0.550. The JK Super Strikers, also with ten points, but a net run rate of +0.484, dropped from second to third position on the table.

Agri Kings Knights, despite their win, remain in the fourth place with eight points and a net run rate of -0.515. After suffering their fifth defeat, the Royal Phantoms also remain in the sixth place with four points and a negative net run rate of -0.578.

Intersoft Titans, with just a solitary victory and six defeats, are at the bottom of the table with two points.


BLV Blasters move to the top of the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup 2024 points table

Batting first in the 21st match of the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup 2024, the Royal Phantoms posted a challenging total of 166/2 on the board. Skipper Anmolpreet Singh led from the front with a 65-run knock. Ridham Satyawan scored an unbeaten 40-ball 63 to give them a decent finish.

Ayush Goyal, with a solitary scalp, was the lone wicket-taker with the ball for the Knights.

In reply, the Knights were in massive trouble at 91/8, losing their way in the chase. However, Abhishek Kumar (53*) and Aryan Bhatia (23*) stitched together a match-winning 76-run unbeaten stand to see their side through with two wickets to spare in the end.

In the next game, the BLV Blasters bowled the Trident Stallions out for 171 after deciding to field first. Ramandeep Singh continued his brilliant form with a quickfire 26-ball 53 for the Stallions. The rest of the batters could not support him a lot.

Simranjeet Singh Gharu bagged four wickets for the Blasters, while Aaradhya Shukla and Harpreet Brar chipped in with a couple each as well.

The Blasters, led by half-centuries from Taranveer Singh (53) and skipper Naman Dhir (50), along with an unbeaten 25-ball 40 from Anmol Malhotra, completed the chase in 17.5 overs with four wickets in hand. With this win, they also moved to the top of the Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup 2024 points table.

Dhruv Mittal and Aryaman Singh picked up two wickets apiece for the Stallions.
