Agri King’s Knights squared off against Intersoft Titans in the 29th Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup 2024 match, while Royal Phantoms and Trident Stallions locked horns in the next game on Monday, June 24.

Trident Stallions finished first with 14 points after a three-wicket victory over the Phantoms. They won seven out of their 10 games and boast an NRR of 0.896. JK Super Strikers ended second with a similar record and a positive NRR of 0.890, while BLV Blasters finished third, winning six out of their ten matches.

Agri King’s Knights finished fourth with five wins and as many losses after a 55-run win against Intersoft Titans. Royal Phantoms and Intersoft Titans concluded in the last two spots on the leaderboard with six and four points, respectively.

Stallions Secure Seventh Win and Top Spot, Knights End in Fourth

Intersoft Titans won the toss and opted to bowl first against Agri King’s Knights. The Knights posted a 203-run target for nine wickets with Mandeep Singh top-scoring with 90 off 49. He was backed by skipper Abhishek Sharma (45) and Sehaj Dhawan’s 41. Siddarth Kaul picked up a four-fer for the Titans, while Abhinav Sharma took two.

In reply, the Knights bowled effectively and restricted Knights to 147/9. Pukhraj Mann was the highest-scorer for the Titans with a 31-ball 52-run knock followed by opener Vishwanath Pratap Singh (23) and Gitansh Khera (19). Abhishek Sharma, Harjot Singh, Vinay Choudhary, and Sumit Sharma bagged two wickets each for the Knights, while Varinder Singh picked up one.

In the following game, Royal Phantoms batted first against Trident Stallions and racked up a target of 161 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Sohraab Dhaliwal led the batting unit with 79 runs off 40 deliveries, including four fours and seven sixes.

In response, Abhay Choudhary (40) and skipper Prabhsimran Singh (45) got Stallions to a flying start. However, the next three batters were dismissed within 8-10 overs but cameos from Sahil Sharma (15 off 6), Aryaman Singh (16 off 7), and Gurnoor Brar (10 off 3) helped them achieve the target in 15.3 overs.

Phantoms captain Anmolpreet Singh led the bowling attack with a four-wicket haul.
