On Thursday, June 20, the Sher-e-Punjab T20 2024 hosted a double-header, with the Royal Phantoms competing against the Agri King’s Knights in the 21st match, followed by the Trident Stallions clashing with the BLV Blasters in the second game of the day.

Phantoms, batting first, posted a 167-run target for the loss of two wickets. Jaskaranvir Singh Paul (14) and Anmolpreet Singh stitched a 42-run partnership for the first wicket followed by another 74-run partnership between Anmolpreet (65) and Ridham Satyawan (63*). Ayush Goyal picked up the solitary wicket for the Knights.

In reply, Agri Knights chased the target in 19 overs for eight wickets. Sehaj Dhawan provided a quick start with his 13-ball 25-run knock. However, the middle order kept losing wickets at regular intervals. A 76-run partnership between Abhishek Kumar 53 (27), and Aryan Bhatia 23 (13), guided them to a comfortable win.

In the second game, Trident Stallions opted to bat first against BLV Blasters and were bowled out for 171. Ramandeep Singh was the top scorer with a 26-ball half-century while Abhay Choudhary and skipper Prabhsimran Singh added 29 and 20 runs each. Simranjeet Singh-Gharu led the Blasters' bowling lineup with a four-fer while Aaradhya Shukla and Harpreet Brar picked up two wickets each.

In response, with half-centuries from Taranveer Singh (53) and skipper Naman Dhir(50) backed by Anmol Malhotra’s 40 off 25, the Blasters achieved the target in 17.5 overs. Dhruv Mittal and Aryaman Singh scalped two wickets each for the Stallions.

Kartik Sharma of JK Super Strikers continues to sit at the top of the most runs leaderboard with 347 runs in seven matches. Anmolpreet Singh of Royal Phantoms moved from fourth to second position after scoring 65 runs in the previous game. He has 338 runs in his account, averaging 56.33.

Harnoor Singh slipped to the third position with 328 runs scored at a strike rate of 152.56. Anmol Malhotra also moved from fifth to fourth after scoring 40 runs off 25 in the last game. He averages 62, smashing 310 runs in eight games.

Naman Dhir also climbed up one spot and finished fifth with 305 runs in eight games at an excellent strike rate of 178.36.

Gurnoor Brar and Ayush Goyal continue to dominate in the top two spots in the most wickets leaderboard with 13 wickets each.

Harpreet Brar of BLV Blasters picked up two wickets and jumped from fourth to third position to finish third with 13 wickets. Ashwani Kumar descended from third to fourth, picking up 11 wickets in seven matches. Meanwhile, Aaradhya Shukla moved from seventh to fifth rank, taking 11 wickets at a decent average of 15.55.
