The Sheffield Shield 2024-25 is set to provide some interesting and thrilling cricketing action as another season of Australia's domestic circuit is about to begin. The tournament will start on October 8 and conclude on March 26.
Moreover, some of Australia's Test players are set to feature in the initial rounds of the Sheffield Shield 2024-25 before the start of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Six teams will participate in the Sheffield Shield 2024-25 - New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, and Western Australia.
Western Australia are the defending champions, having won the Sheffield Shield 2023-24 season. Marnus Labuschagne, Steve Smith, Pat Cummins, Nathan Lyon, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, and Travis Head are some of the big names who will take part in the early stages of the Sheffield Shield 2024-25.
