On Sunday, July 28, Kent, Worcestershire, and Hampshire won the Group A matches while Warwickshire, Essex, Nottinghamshire, and Glamorgan won in Group B.

Worcestershire moved from second position to first in the Group A. Similarly, Hampshire climbed from third to second while Derbyshire dropped from first to third.

Warwickshire registered their first win and secured the fourth spot while Somerset and Kent retained the next two spots, respectively.

Durham dropped from fourth to seventh while Surrey and Yorkshire occupy the following two spots, yet to play a game. Essex lost their opening game and claimed the 10th spot while Lancashire descended to 11th, Northamptonshire dropped to 12th and Middlesex finished last on Sunday.

Warwickshire and Glamorgan retained their top two spots in the Group B points table. Nottinghamshire climbed from fourth to third while Essex jumped from sixth to fourth. Yorkshire dropped from third to fifth while Leicestershire retained their sixth spot.

Somerset, Northamptonshire, and Durham haven’t played their opening games but hold the next three spots, respectively. Similarly, Worcestershire and Derbyshire are ranked 10th and 11th in the leaderboard.

Sussex, Gloucestershire, and Surrey have lost both games so far and occupy the bottom three spots, with a negative net run rate of -0.665, -1.82, and -3.301, respectively.


Worcestershire, Kent, and Hampshire shine in Group A; Essex, Warwickshire, Nottinghamshire, and Glamorgan won in Group B

Warwickshire edged out Sussex by one wicket at the County Ground in the opening game of the day. They bowled Sussex out to 173 in the first half and chased the target in 44.1 overs for the loss of nine wickets.

Kent achieved a narrow five-run victory over Lancashire in the 14th match. Batting first, they set a 210-run target which they successfully defended by restricting Lancashire to 204/10 in 49.2 overs.

Hampshire defeated Somerset at the Rose Bowl in the following game. Hampshire limited Somerset to 242 in the first half. However, they reached the target with 3.5 overs to spare and five wickets in hand.

Meanwhile, Worcestershire triumphed over Durham by 93 runs, Essex secured a 63-run win against Gloucestershire, Nottinghamshire beat Yorkshire by 83 runs, and Glamorgan overcame Surrey by seven wickets.
