Gloucestershire defeated Surrey by 37 runs in the 2024 Royal London One Day Cup at the Kennington Oval on Tuesday, July 30.

Surrey won the toss and elected to field first against Gloucestershire. Bancroft’s innings were laced with eight boundaries and one six.

Oliver Price (32) and skipper Jack Taylor (44) too made important contributions to propel Gloucestershire’s total. Meanwhile, Surrey bowlers Conor McKerr (4/32) and Cameron Steel (4/61) bowled their hearts out to restrict Gloucestershire.

Ryan Patel (87 off 96) and Josh Blake (50 off 45) made key contributions for Surrey but all went in vain as they were bowled out for 264 runs in just 47.5 overs. Matt Taylor’s 4-fer enabled Gloucestershire to restrict their opposition while his teammate Ajeet Singh Dale scalped two wickets too.
