The Royal London One-Day Cup 2024 resumed with four matches on Friday, July 26 across four English venues.

In the first Group A match of the day, Hampshire pummeled Northamptonshire by 71 runs in Southampton courtesy of Ben Brown’s unbeaten 139 and a dazzling four-wicket haul from Eddie Jack. Between Kent and Somerset at Taunton, the latter prevailed with a three-wicket margin and 21 balls to spare. Somerset opener Andrew Umeed headlined the successful run-chase by smacking 114* off 121 balls after Lewis Goldsworthy (4/44) restricted Kent to 267.

In Group B, Nottinghamshire chased down 217 against Sussex with eight wickets and 50 balls to spare in Sookholme. After Luke Fletcher and Toby Pettman bossed Sussex with identical three-fers, Nottinghamshire batters Ben Slater and Haseeb Hameed hammered down majestic unbeaten centuries.

In a lop-sided affair at Leicester, Warwickshire routed Leicestershire by eight wickets and nearly 33 overs still intact in the game. After Ed Barnard (4/21) and Craig Miles (3/16) skittled Leicestershire for just 88, Will Rhodes top-scored with 48* to steer his team past the finishing line.

Ed Pollock remains the leading run-scorer of the Royal London One-Day Cup 2024 with 180 runs. Ed Barnard is ranked second on the top 10 list with 174 runs to his name. He is followed by Josh Bohannon (147 runs), Ben Brown (139 runs) and Ben Slater (131 runs) as the five most successful batters of the competition so far.

Only a run separates sixth-placed Gareth Roderick (115 runs) and seventh-ranked Andrew Umeed (114 runs). Alex Lees with 111 runs is ranked eighth on the top 10 list while Haseeb Hameed finds himself at number nine with 101 runs. Zak Chappell scored 94 in his first outing of the tournament to take the tenth spot in the run-scoring race.
