Former India head coach Ravi Shastri suffered a mishap as his luggage got stuck on another island amid the ongoing 2024 T20 World Cup. While sharing his ordeal, the 62-year-old commentator said he had to wear a robe to the breakfast table. The witty commentator, though, chose to stay optimistic by sharing a funny caption.

Usually, Shastri covers all of India's matches at ICC events, especially the toss, including their last game against Afghanistan. Apparently, he traveled with the Men in Blue from Barbados to Antigua for their upcoming Super-8 game against Bangladesh, scheduled to be played at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound on Saturday, June 22.

Several players have faced luggage mishaps in the West Indies in the past. Shastri shared a picture on X and wrote:

“Feeling like a drug lord at breakfast in this outfit here in beautiful Antigua, even though my luggage is still on another island. Can't wait for it to arrive soon!”

Take a look:

Ravi Shastri played 80 Tests and 150 ODIs for India from 1981 to 1992. He amassed 6938 runs, including 15 tons and 30 half-centuries. With the ball, he scalped 280 wickets. He won the Player of the Series award at the 1985 World Championship of Cricket.

“Inspiration to millions around the globe” – Ravi Shastri hails Rishabh Pant for his international comeback with T20 World Cup 2024

Ravi Shastri has lauded Rishabh Pant following his international comeback, calling him an inspiration for many. The cricketer-turned-commentator credited the wicketkeeper-better for his hard work, saying (via India Today):

"Batting, everybody knew. What you're capable of...the X-factor you have. But your wicketkeeping and range of movement that you have quickly got back in after the operation, is a tribute for how much you worked hard."
“Not just for yourself, it's an inspiration to millions around the globe. From adversity, from the jaws of death, you can snatch a win as well. So well done, keep up the good work,” he added.

Rishabh Pant has returned with scores of 36*, 42, 18, and 20 against Ireland, Pakistan, USA, and Afghanistan, respectively, at the 2024 T20 World Cup so far.
