Kolkata Knight Riders star Venkatesh Iyer posted a picture of himself with his new car on Instagram earlier today (Wednesday, July 3). Iyer, who played a major role in KKR's IPL 2024 championship win, is currently enjoying his time off the field.
During the time off, Venkatesh Iyer decided to buy a white Range Rover and the car is yet to get a number plate. In the photo shared by the KKR star, he can be seen seated on the floor near the car.
Captioning the photo on Instagram, Venkatesh Iyer wrote:
"The beast and the beast."
The picture has received more than 35,000 likes inside three hours. Many fans congratulated the Kolkata Knight Riders star for buying a new car. One of the 269 comments on the post came from popular social media prankster Rahul Sinha, which read:
"RR Congratulations."
Iyer also got married after the IPL season. Soon after the tournament ended, he shared photos and videos of his marriage with Shruti Raghunathan.

When Hardik Pandya took an injury break from cricket in 2021/22, Iyer received opportunities to play for India. While he did a decent job, Iyer could not cement his place in the team and Hardik took his spot back from the all-rounder upon his return.
Iyer also had an ordinary IPL 2022 with Kolkata Knight Riders. He has put up strong performances in the KKR jersey over the last two seasons, but the selectors are yet to recall him. He scored 370 runs in 14 matches at an average of 46.25 and strike-rate of 158.80 in the 2024 season.
The all-rounder did not receive a spot in the second-string squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe either. It looks like the 29-year-old will have to work harder to make a comeback to international cricket.
