Young Indian all-rounder Tilak Varma shared a picture with some of his teammates on Instagram earlier today (August 10). It looks like Varma is at the National Cricket Academy (NCA), where many Indian cricketers are training in the off-season.

Varma shared a selfie with fast bowler Avesh Khan, batter Rinku Singh and all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy on his Instagram story earlier today. The quartet could be seen enjoying their time together at a roller in the NCA ground.

Sharing the selfie on Instagram story, Tilak Varma wrote:

"Boys Reunion (star emoji)."

It is pertinent to note that Avesh Khan and Rinku Singh were reserve players in the 2024 T20 World Cup Indian squad that lifted the championship in June. After that, the two players traveled to Zimbabwe, where they represented India in the five-match series against the African nation.

Reddy received his maiden national call-up for that tour. However, he missed the matches due to injury. Meanwhile, Varma has not played a single game after IPL 2024.

Amid the international season break for Team India, the fans have been talking about the upcoming IPL mega auction. As per reports, IPL teams may have permission to retain four to six players for the next cycle.

Although several teams were against the idea of a mega auction, the BCCI may not cancel it. Instead, the board may increase the number of retentions and reintroduce the concept of RTM cards.

Tilak Varma has been a top performer for Mumbai Indians (MI) in the last three seasons. In fact, he even made it to the Indian team, thanks to his performances for MI. It will be interesting to see if MI retain him before the mega auction.
